Terms & Booking Conditions

Last updated: August 2026

These terms apply to your use of this website and to bookings for sessions with Swallow Sound, run by Rachel Swallow. This includes public gong baths and group sound therapy sessions, private 1:1 sound therapy and Reiki, couples’ sound experiences, and private group bookings. By booking a session you agree to these conditions.

Bookings & payment

Public group sessions

  • Public sessions are booked and paid for through Eventbrite, subject to Eventbrite’s own terms.
  • Your place is confirmed once payment has been completed.
  • Prices and session details are as shown on the relevant Eventbrite listing at the time of booking.

Private, one-to-one and bespoke bookings

  • Private 1:1 sessions, couples’ sound experiences, private groups and special occasions are arranged directly by enquiry rather than through Eventbrite.
  • We will confirm the price, duration, location and what is included in writing before anything is payable.
  • A deposit, confirmed at the time of booking, secures your date. Your booking is not held until the deposit is received.
  • The balance is due by the date given in your booking confirmation.

Cancellations & refunds

Public group sessions

  • Refunds are available if you cancel at least 48 hours before a session.
  • Cancellations made within 48 hours of a session, and no-shows, are non-refundable.

Private and bespoke bookings

  • Deposits secure a date that is then held for you, and are non-refundable.
  • The notice period for cancelling or moving a private booking without further charge is set out in your booking confirmation. Larger events and retreats may require longer notice.
  • Where a session is cancelled at short notice we will always try to offer an alternative date instead.

If we have to cancel or reschedule any session, you will be offered an alternative date or a full refund, including any deposit.

Health & wellbeing

Sound therapy, gong baths, Reiki and coaching-informed wellbeing sessions are complementary, non-clinical practices and are not a substitute for medical advice, diagnosis or treatment. They are intended to support relaxation and wellbeing alongside, not instead of, professional healthcare. Rachel Swallow is not a medical doctor.

Coaching-informed sessions draw on reflective coaching skills to support intention setting and self-awareness. They are not counselling, psychotherapy or any form of clinical treatment, and are not a substitute for them.

Sessions are gentle and suitable for most people. Please tell us before booking if you are pregnant, have epilepsy, a pacemaker, sound sensitivity, a serious health condition, or any other concern, and let us know about any accessibility or sensory requirements. We can then advise whether a session is suitable and make any adjustments that would help you feel comfortable.

You attend sessions at your own discretion and remain responsible for your own health. If you feel unwell during a session, please let us know.

Sessions at your venue

Where a session takes place at your home, workplace or a venue you have arranged, you are responsible for making sure the space is suitable and safe: enough room for participants to lie down comfortably, reasonable access for instruments, and adequate time before and after the session for setting up and packing down.

Please tell us about anything that affects access, such as stairs, parking or restricted entry times, when you enquire. Travel is included within our usual service area; where a venue is further afield, any travel contribution will be agreed with you in writing before booking.

If you are booking on behalf of a group, please make sure everyone attending has seen the health information above and knows they can raise anything relevant with us in confidence.

Your conduct

  • Please arrive on time; latecomers may not be admitted once a session has begun, out of respect for other guests.
  • We want everyone to feel safe and relaxed — behaviour that disrupts a session may result in you being asked to leave without a refund.

Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss or injury arising from your attendance, except where caused by our negligence. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be excluded under UK law.
