What actually happens during a gong bath?
If you've never lain down beneath a gong before, here's a gentle walk-through of what to expect from your first session.

A gong bath is one of those experiences that's far easier to feel than to explain. If you're curious but a little unsure, this is for you — a quiet visualisation of what a session with me is really like.
Arriving and settling in
You'll arrive to a softly lit space, with low lighting, flameless candles, and fairy lights creating a calm, welcoming atmosphere. Bring along whatever helps you feel most comfortable – perhaps a yoga mat, blanket, pillow or cushion. There's no rush. Once you've settled in, fully clothed, simply allow your body to relax and sink into the floor.
Being carried by the sound
Once everyone is comfortable, the sound begins — gongs, singing bowls and gentle chimes weaving together in slow, rolling waves. There's nothing you need to do. You don't have to empty your mind or breathe in any particular way. You simply let the sound wash over you.
Most people describe it as floating — the thinking mind quietens, and the body finally lets go.
Coming back
As the session closes, the sound gradually softens and stills. I'll invite you to take your time returning, wiggling fingers and toes before slowly sitting up. Many people feel deeply relaxed, a little dreamy, and wonderfully clear.
That's really all there is to it. Come as you are, bring nothing but yourself, and let the rest happen.
